02 · The wound care routine

Cleanse, treat, protect.

1 · Cleanse

Flush the wound bed with Care Wash sterile saline before every dressing change — single-use ampoules keep it simple and sterile.

2 · Treat

Lay a collagen dressing over flat wounds, or pour collagen powder into deep, tunneling, or irregular wound beds a flat pad cannot reach. Ovena collagen is bovine. Do not use if you are allergic to bovine (beef-derived) products.

3 · Protect

Cover with the secondary dressing your clinician specifies. On flat, shallow wounds that is often hydrocolloid, cut to the exact size you need; deep, tunneling, or undermined wounds should not be sealed under an occlusive dressing.

4 · Repeat

Change every 2-3 days per your clinician's guidance, and never beyond 7 days without clinician direction. The Collagen Kit bundles a complete dressing change into one box.
